The Vincent Coates Endowed Scholarship was established in 1993 by the Centralia College Foundation Board of Directors in honor of Vincent Coates, to benefit students studying chemistry. Vincent Coates was a former registrar, instructor of math and engineering and coach from 1948-1978 at Centralia College
