Doris (Sprague) Watterson Endowed Scholarship

The family of Doris Watterson created the Doris (Sprague) Watterson Endowed Scholarship to benefit Centralia College students. Doris was the mother of Ed, Bill, Marilyn and Jim Watterson and a 1933 graduate of Centralia High School. Doris could not afford to attend Centralia College. An 80-year resident of Lewis County, Doris advocated for college regardless of gender. Due to her tenacity and strong belief in the benefits of higher education, all of Doris’s children attended Centralia College.
