Vondean Thompson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Vondean was a fine pianist and had a lifelong love of music. In 1960 she married Robert B. Thompson. They were together for 57 years, had three children, Elizabeth, Bob and Mary, and seven grandchildren. Vondean formed the Centralia College Performing Arts Society in the 1970s. This organization brought in many fine musicians for public performances at the college. She later organized The Pacific Northwest Youth Orchestra which lives on as the Pacific Northwest Chamber Orchestra.
